HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg police have arrested one person and are searching for another accused of burglarizing and vandalizing Sacred Heart Catholic School Friday morning.
The elementary school will remain closed Friday. The school's principal says at least five buildings were broken in to and at least $200 in cash was taken.
The two black male suspects allegedly used a statue of Jesus as a battering ram to break windows, creating an estimated $10,000 dollars in damage.
School leaders expect the damage to be fixed later today.
