JCJC to show the dangers of texting and driving on Feb. 15

ELLVISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - Jones County Junior College and PEER Awareness, a health and wellness company, is offering students an opportunity to see the dangers of texting while driving by using the AWARE-TXT Simulator.

This is a free service that will take place on Feb. 15 from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. outside the JCJC Library.

The Aware-TXT Simulator is software and special head-gear and glasses give students a virtual world to see the dangerous effects of texting and driving. The simulator allows students to sit in a real car which is suspended and monitored with sensors to simulate real driving.
