MDOT issues dense smoke warning on Hwy 29

JACKSON, MS (WDAM) - The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) has issued the following traffic alert to motorists traveling in Perry County.

Due to dense smoke, MDOT has issued a Low Visibility Warning for motorists traveling along Highway 29 between the New Augusta and Runnelstown in Perry County.

Motorists are advised to take an alternate route during their morning commute.
