Latest possible snow estimates for the Pine Belt

PINE BELT, (WDAM) - As of Tuesday evening, much of Mississippi is under a Winter Storm Watch or Warning, but the advisory areas do not include the Pine Belt.  It looks as if the Pine Belt will see rain for much of Wednesday evening and that rain may change over to snow late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

Estimated accumulation for the Pine Belt ranges between a trace to 3/4 of an inch. As much as five inches will be possible in parts of the Delta.

Light rain may start as early as Wednesday afternoon, and a steady moderate rain will be possible starting Wednesday evening.

Much of the precipitation from this system has not developed yet, so this forecast is subject to change.
