United Way's "Home Sweet Home" Raffle underway

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - For the 9th year, the United Way and local homebuilders are giving you the chance to own a new home for $100. It's all part of the annual, "Home Sweet Home" raffle. A home in the Bellegrass Subdivision, valued at about $214,000, is the prize.

Tickets are $100 each.

The winner will be drawn March 14, live on WDAM-TV. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Southeast Mississippi.

"Tickets are on sale through our website, at www.unitedwaysems.org, or you can call our office at (601) 545-7141 and we'll be having tickets out here every weekend, starting tomorrow, Saturdays from 10 til 4 and Sundays from 2 til 4," said Dan Kibodeaux, executive director of the United Way of Southeast Mississippi.

Also today, Leaf River Cellulose, a co-sponsor of the raffle, donated $70,000 to the United Way.
