HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -  A couple of times a year the Hattiesburg's Visitors Center likes to turn its attention to local residents and Wednesday they did just that.

Residents who stopped by the Visitors Center got a chance to enjoy the center's 7th annual Christmas open house.

With lots of food, Christmas treats and the Southern Miss Carolers those who came to the open house experienced some holiday hospitality and they even got to meet Miss Hospitality herself, Jordan Whittle.

"The city of Hattiesburg has done such a wonderful job supporting me , so I am just happy to be here to welcome people here to our welcome center and to help celebrate Christmas," said Whittle.
