Hub City celebrating a Victorian Christmas

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Downtown Hattiesburg has taken on the look of Christmas one hundred years ago. It's all part of the 35th annual, Victorian Candlelit Christmas.

The event features carriage rides, 15,000 luminaries, live entertainment and tours of historic homes. A holiday art walk is also being held.

The event dates back to 1976, when neighborhoods in east Hattiesburg wanted to do something special to celebrate the nation's bicentennial.

If you got rained out Saturday night, don't worry. The luminaries will be re-lit Sunday for a 2nd night of the event.
