Local E-9 association forms

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A new, local social organization has been formed just for high-ranking retired and active-duty enlisted military personnel.

The Pine Belt E-9 Association will give Army sergeant majors and Navy chiefs a chance to get together at least once a month for breakfasts and other events.

Today, the organization held its first meeting at Hattiesburg's Cracker Barrel Restaurant.

So far, about 35 people have joined the group.

If you would like more information about the organization, you can call organization president Marion Walley at (601) 264-5856.
