HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - A senior program at Wesley Medical Center celebrated the holidays on Tuesday with Christmas carols at the Lake Terrace Convention Center.

Holiday songs were performed by the Petal High School Show Choir during the event. They entertained hundreds of Pine Belt seniors that are part of Wesley's Senior Circle program. Membership in that group provides seniors ages fifty and over with benefits and discounts at area venues.

Senior Circle hosts a Christmas celebration for their members each year. Melissa Garretson works with the Senior Circle program.

"We were actually so lucky today to have the Petal Show Choir to come and talk with us and tell us a little bit about themselves and also to give us a wonderful performance. And it's just a good time for fellowship and fun and for them to come and enjoy," said Garretson.

The celebration included plenty of holiday food and attendees also received door prizes.
