HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Auto Repair Shop in the 900 block of East Hardy Street was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning.

Hattiesburg Public Information Officer Sergeant Alan Murray says two Black males walked into the establishment, put a gun to the owners head, and demanded he open the safe.

The two then escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

The owner of the shop did not get a look at the robbers faces. The only description he could provide was the two were wearing hoodies and one was wearing blue sweat pants with a white stripe.

Murray says police are canvassing the area looking for the robbers. Witnesses gave conflicting reports as to what type of vehicle the robbers may have been in.
