Two Marion Co. residents killed in wreck

MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Two Marion County residents have been killed in a 2-car wreck south of Columbia. The Mississippi Highway Patrol says 80-year-old Annie Brown of Columbia and 38-year-old Robert Allen, also of Columbia, died when their vehicles collided on Highway 13.

The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Allen died at the scene. Brown died at Forrest General Hospital.

A passenger in Brown's car, 54-year-old Michael Thurmond, was also injured.
