US Marshals arrest alleged shooter, two others in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Police have arrested the alleged gunman who shot three University of Southern Mississippi football players last Sunday morning.

Friday night, The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force with the help of Hattiesburg Police and The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation arrested Travis Brown at a residence at 817 Hardy Street in Hattiesburg.  That location is near the Broad Street/Hardy Street intersection.    

Also arrested were Jamel Black, 32, and Sharleisha Bolton, 23. Both are charged as accessories after the fact. 

A 9mm hand gun was confiscated during the arrest.

Brown was taken to the Hattiesburg Police Department for questioning and then transferred to the Forrest County jail.

A time has not been set for initial appearances before the court.
