HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - Lindsey Lee is an aspiring pop star from the Hub City. She is performing with her band at November 19th's Eaglepalooza concert in downtown Hattiesburg.

Lee grew up in the Pine Belt for most of her life and graduated from Oak Grove high school.

"I started song writing seriously when I was 18, my senior year of high school, and ever since then I've been doing everything I can to break into the music industry," said Lee.

Lee recently finished a tour with another performer and has shared her vocal talents as a solo artist most recently in Houston. She performs original material in addition to cover's of popular songs.

"We are doing mostly originals at Eaglepalooza. So I hope to kind of break that image of being a cover artist, but I do like to cover pop radio songs," said Lee.

In preparation for Friday's Eaglepalooza show, Lee rehearsed at a downtown café with her fellow band members who are all from the Pine belt. Two of the members, Kirk Gore and Neil Sanford are also Lee's producers.

Lee wants to be respected as an established songwriter and plans to move to Nashville permanently in January to continue pursuing her music career.
