HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Southern Pines Animal Shelter Pet of the Week is Mr. Bill, a two year old domestic short hair cat.

He's mostly orange, with a white belly and white paws. His owner is very sick and can no longer care for him, so he was sent to the shelter.

He's very friendly and affectionate and should make a great companion for someone. He will need to remain an indoor cat because if he gets out he might try to return to his original owner.

Cost for adoption is $70. He has already been neutered. He has his first shots and has been worm tested. He also has a micro chip for permanent identification.

The shelter is located on North 31st Avenue behind Atonalism College. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. , Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
