Marion county teenager dead after "suspicious" shooting

MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A shooting in Marion County leaves a teenager dead as investigators try and figure it all out.

It happened Saturday at a home on Stringer Bullock Road in the Foxworth community. Investigators say the 16-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Right now, it's being treated as a "suspicious shooting" and two people of interest are in custody.

MBI as well as the Columbia Police Department are assisting with the case. The victim's body will be taken for an autopsy.

 So far, no charges have been filed, but investigators expect to have developments Monday.
