HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Nike, the young male mix breed terrier we featured a few weeks back is still looking for his forever home.

He is currently enjoying life in a foster home and not caged at the shelter, but is anxious to go to a new loving family. The foster home is only a temporary fix and he can't stay there forever.

Nike has a great temperament, is very friendly and docile. He should be great with kids and other pets and will make a great companion.

Nike along with other pets will be featured at Pet Smart in Hattiesburg this weekend during their holiday adoption event. Contact the Southern Pines Animal Shelter for the specifics 601-544-6632.

Cost for adoption is $70.  This includes the neuter surgery, first shots, worm testing, and micro chip installed for permanent identification.

The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. from to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  They are located at 1901 North 31st Avenue in Hattiesburg, right behind Antonelli College.
