ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - Jones County emergency personnel were tied up for several hours clearing the scenes of two tractor trailer accidents near mile marker 88 on I-59 in Ellisville Tuesday morning.

The first one occurred at around 5:30 a.m. when a Marshal Durbin truck carrying a load of chickens crossed into the median, rolled onto it's side, spilled its cargo.

The second accident occurred at around 8:00 a.m. about a quarter of a mile up the road when a log truck also crossed into the medium, rolled onto its side, and spilled its cargo.

Fortunately neither driver was injured in the wrecks.

Emergency personnel were on the scene for more than seven hours cleaning up the two wrecks and recovering the logs and chickens. It's estimated a third of the chickens on the truck were killed in the accident.

The cause of the two accidents has yet to be determined.
