HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Southern Miss Kappa Delta Sorority Beta Sigma Chapter held their annual 5-k run Sunday afternoon to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America.

The run was part of a week full of events benefiting the organization.

More than 200 people took part in the run which took place on the USM campus.

Eighty percent of the money raised will go to help victims of child abuse in Hattiesburg while twenty percent will go to help victims nationwide.

Last year the Sorority raised more than $20,000 for the cause and expected to exceed that this year.
