Columbia murder suspect captured

COLUMBIA, MS (WDAM) - Columbia police captured a murder suspect Sunday afternoon.

Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, at the intersection of Nathan Street and Kings Avenue,  Brandon Grindle allegedly drove up and shot a man who was walking along the road.

Police said Grindle is from the Columbia area and was driving a green Ford Expedition at the time of the shooting.

The victim's name is not being released at this point.

    The new Miss Hospitality has been crowned in Hattiesburg.  She is Emma Grace McGrew, 18, of Booneville.
