Runoff likely in District 13 circuit judge race

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Former district attorney Eddie Bowen and Collins attorney Wilton McNair are headed for a runoff in the circuit judge District 13 race.

The write-in votes have been counted in Covington, Jasper, Simpson, and Smith counties, and Bowen led the ticket with 4,348 votes. In second place is McNair with 3,106, followed by Chris Hennis with 2,892, Noel Rogers with 2,563, and Steven Thornton with 489.

Bowen was appointed interim judge by Gov.Haley Barbour this summer following the death of Judge Robert Evans.

Bowen and McNair appear to be headed for a runoff November 23rd.
