Governor's Job Fair stops in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - In the midst of a struggling economy, some Mississippi companies are still looking for qualified employees. About 50 employers from across the state gathered in Hattiesburg for the annual, Pine Belt Job Fair at the Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center.

It's a stop on the Governor's Job Fair Network and was free to the public.

Forrest General Hospital, Toyota and Howard Industries were among the employers conducting interviews. So far this year, the network has hosted 13 events across the state, resulting in more than 4,000 job offers.

The next and last job fair of the year will take place in Tupelo on November 18th.
