HATTIESBURG,MS (WDAM) -Healthcare providers from all over the state gathered today in Hattiesburg.
The Mississippi Association for Healthcare Quality held its annual conference at Lake Terrace. Healthcare providers discussed ways to improve patient care and safety.
One focus was the Federal Healthcare Reform that's beginning to go into effect. Linda Scribner, President of the National Association of Healthcare Quality says the Healthcare System will be prepared for the changes that are coming.
"The current legislation and the reforms that have been passed are so wide sweeping and have such a long phase and approach. I don't know that any of us have a really handle on what that is going to mean five years from now. So, we'll be prepared for whatever reform comes along it will just incorporate into what our practices have always been," said Scribner.
More than 40 vendors attended this healthcare conference.
