HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Pet of the Week from Southern Pines Animal Shelter is Nike, a year and a half year old mix breed terrier.
Nike weighs about 17 pounds and should not grow anymore. He's been at the shelter about three weeks. He's very active, loves to play and is very gentle. He's learning quickly how to walk on a leash and would love to go for long walks with his new owner.
Cost for adoption is $70. This includes his neutering surgery which he already has had. He's been worm tested, has his shots and is micro chipped for permanent identification.
The shelter has recently expanded their hours. They are now open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday, 10:00am to 3:00pm, and Saturday, 10:00am to 2:00pm. They are located at 1901 North 31st Avenue in Hattiesburg, right behind Antonelli College.
