Truck kills pedestrian on Veterans Boulevard

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg Police are looking for the driver of a Toyota Tacoma pick-up, made between 2007 and 2009 that may have hit and killed a pedestrian on Veterans Boulevard in Hattiesburg Thursday night. Police got a call around 7:30 p.m., saying a white man was lying beside the road at the Pine Belt Family-Y.

Coronor Butch Benedict says identification on the body indicates the victim is 47-year-old Lawrence John Brun of Moss Point.

The pickup may have struck the victim as he was walking along the road.

Anybody with information is asked to get in touch with Crimestoppers or the Hattiesburg Police Department.
