HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg School Board has narrowed its list for school superintendent to three.
In a specially called meeting Thursday morning, the school board narrowed its candidates list down from 10 to three.
The district began its search this summer when longtime Superintendent Annie Wimbish resigned. The search process began with 29 applicants. One on one interviews will begin soon in hopes of having a new superintendent named by January.
In the interim, Assistant Superintendent Jimmy Hopkins has been running the district.
