HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A court date is now set in the case of four county election leaders who have jointly filed an injunction to stop a write in election for a circuit judge in the 13th district.

The case will be heard Wednesday morning in a Hinds County court room to determine if the election should go on as scheduled next month.

The circuit clerks from Jasper, Simpson and Smith Counties along with the election commissioner from Covington County filed a complaint after the state ordered a "write-in" ballot process for the election of a judge to replace incumbent Robert Evans, who died in July.
