Hattiesburg man killed by train

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A Hattiesburg man was killed early this morning when he was hit by a train downtown. Details are incomplete, but the Forrest County Coroner's Office says 32-year-old Lyles Anthony Freeze died after he was hit by a train as he was walking at the Ronie St.-W. Laurel Ave. intersection at about 1 a.m.

Freeze was pronounced dead at Forrest General Hospital shortly before 2:30 a.m.

The Forrest County Coroner's Office says the death could be alcohol-related.
