HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A Hattiesburg man and his fiancee won big Sunday afternoon in the Ashley Furniture Home Store Big Event.

Joshua Fortenberry's name was drawn and he walked away with a $5000 shopping spree at the store. More than 100 people were outside the store hoping their name would be called.

Fortenberry wasn't the only winner. Maryann Harris of Hattiesburg won a Simmons Beauty Rest Mattress set and Cody Pitts of Richton a $250 gift card.

Fortenberry was elated at having his name called.

"It's great, very excited, very excited," said Fortenberry.  "We just got engaged so this was perfect, perfect thing to happen."

Fortenberry and his fiancee wasted no time in getting down to the business of picking out furniture.
