HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A mainstay of downtown Hattiesburg festivals that was discontinued a few years ago has returned, much to the delight of local seafood lovers. The 2-day, Sacred Heart Church and School "Seafood Jamboree" began Saturday.
It's a fundraiser which features, as you might expect, plenty of seafood, including jambalaya and other dishes. Live entertainment, arts and crafts, as well as games and activities for children are also part of the event.
The first day of the Jamboree ends Saturday night at 10 o'clock.
Everything cranks up again Sunday at noon and lasts until 4 o'clock.
