Four Men Arrested in Car Burglary Ring

Four suspects associated with a rash of car burglaries in Forrest and Perry county are now in custody. Heath Allen and Jacob Shows are two suspects being tried as adults. Two other alleged suspects have been questioned and detained, but their names will not be released because they are being tried as juveniles.

Informants led investigators to the stolen items, which ranged from car stereos and MP3 players to watches and laptops. The items were traced back to five individuals all associated with the crimes who were then questioned. Investigators are still looking for the fifth suspect allegedly involved. Perry County Sheriff, Jimmy Dale Smith said the arrests helped solves what was turning into a big problem locally.

He says, "Twelve or thirteen auto burglaries in Forrest county or Petal area that have been solved with this, plus our four here. There wound up being four in Perry county, so it was going to be a major problem for us, but it all turned out good."
