JCJC Invites High School Seniors to “Preview Days”

ELLISVILLE, MS (JONES COUNTY JUNIOR COLLEGE) - Jones County Junior College will be offering two days of fun activities for area high school seniors who want to discover the many opportunities for an excellent college education at JCJC during "Senior Preview Days".

A "College Information Fair" will be held in the Bobcat Gymnasium after a tour of the campus and registration in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Students will get a free lunch while being entertained by the nationally ranked Bobcat Cheerleaders, JC Jazz band and Touch of Gold dancers.

The following schools are asked to attend on the following days: Tuesday, September 14, 2009 – Clarke, Covington, Jasper, Perry and Wayne County Schools should register at 9 a.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Wednesday, September 15, 2009 Greene, Jones, and Smith County Schools, should register at 9 a.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium.  

Students from other schools not listed who want to attend are free to attend either day. For more information call JCJC Student Services at 477-4030.

    After losing the first two games of the season by a combined five points, Collins has won 12 consecutive games to advance to the class 2A South State title. The Tigers (12-2) defeated Bay Springs 22-8 on Friday to advance to a south state matchup against Taylorsville (13-1). Collins scored twice in the fourth quarter to overcome the Bulldogs on the road. "I feel great," said Collins head coach Eric Booth, a former USM running back.
