Southern Pines Shelter hosting car raffle

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - You can help some homeless pets in our area and maybe even win a new car by participating in a raffle for the Southern Pines Animal Shelter. The shelter is giving away a 2010 Volkswagon C C in a drawing to be held live the week of Christmas on WDAM-TV.

The car was provided by an anonymous donor.

The raffle is being held to raise money for a new shelter transport van.

You can see the car in person October 7th at an annual silent auction at Hattiesburg's Ashleigh Manor. Tickets for that event are $30.

Raffle tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. To get yours, call Southern Pines Animal Shelter at (601) 544-6632 or go online at www.southernpinesanimalshelter.org.

Several veterinarians are also selling tickets.
