Truck carrying frozen food overturns in Laurel

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Traffic was blocked on one busy Laurel street this afternoon after a semi-truck ran off Interstate-59 and down an embankment.

The truck, which was carrying pre-packaged frozen food, left the northbound lane of I-59 at the Chantilly Lane overpass and crashed onto the street below, spilling the contents of the trailer.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Chantilly Lane, however, was blocked while the products were off-loaded onto another truck and the scene was cleared.
