Jasper Co. (WDAM)- 11 people including at least two from Jasper county have been arrested by federal drug enforcement agency's, in which truck-loads of marijuana was brought to Mississippi from Texas. Federal indictments charged the 11, including Lornell Von Moore and Jessie Jerome Hall, of transporting and distributing more than 2000 pounds of marijuana. However, sources tell 7 on your side the amount is much greater.
Moore and Hall were arrested Wednesday by DEA agents. We are told Moore owns a trucking company in North Jasper county and two 18 wheel tractor trailer rigs were seized along with money and marijuana. Agents are still looking for three other suspects. Those arrested face a November 2nd Federal court trial date.
