WCU med. students part of "White Coat Ceremony"

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Dozens of members of the inaugural class of the new medical school at William Carey University were officially welcomed into the medical profession Saturday night.   

110 incoming students in the College of Osteopathic Medicine took part in a traditional White Coat Ceremony.

Each student was "cloaked" in a white coat by faculty members.

They then recited the osteopathic oath.

Classes at the new medical school begin Monday.
