By Jeff Daley – email

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Southern Pines Animal Shelters pets of the week are two adorable gray and white three month old kittens named Gem and Ruby.

Ruby is extremely playful and Gem is a little more on the shy side. They both are real friendly and get along well with each other and other cats. They often can be often found sleeping together in their food bowl.

Cost for adoption is $75.  This includes them both being spayed. They have all their first shots and have been worm tested. They also have a micro chip installed for permanent identification.

The shelter has recently expanded their hours. They are now open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday, 10:00am to 3:00pm, and Saturday, 10:00am to 2:00pm. They are located at 1901 North 31st Avenue in Hattiesburg, right behind Antonelli College.
