HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - South Mississippi authorities are on the lookout for a fugitive wanted for shooting of a Louisiana deputy sheriff earlier this week.
Washington Parish Sheriff's Department officials said Timothy Alford has ties to Pearl River County and may be in the vicinity.
Alford is accused of firing several shots at Deputy Paul Pajak during a high -peed chase near Franklinton, LA.
The deputy suffered minor injuries, but was able to return fire causing the getaway vehicle to crash.
Alford fled into the woods. Deputies said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
