Petal Police investigate rash of auto burglaries

PETAL, MS (WDAM) - Petal police are investigating several auto burglaries in the city that took place sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.

At least nine vehicles were reported burglarized with the majority having taken place on Broken Arrow Trail and Pin Oak Point in the Trailwood West subdivision.

In each case, police said the vehicles were left unlocked in their driveways.

A variety of items were stolen including a DVD player, golf clubs, and wallets.

Anyone with information on the burglaries should contact the Petal Police or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 601-582-stop.

Petal police want to remind all residents to always lock your unattended vehicles to help deter would be thieves.
