Back-to-school rallies held

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Two Christian organizations are hoping a little spiritual help will motivate children to do well in school this year. The folks at Christian Services in Hattiesburg hosted an annual back-to-school rally for area kids.

The youngsters first attended a program. They then were given a sack lunch and a goody bag filled with all sorts of items they'll need for that first day of class.

Word of Faith Christian Center in Hattiesburg also hosted a back-to-school rally for children at Greenbriar Apartments. The kids there were treated to hot dogs and nachos, while taking part in several games and activities.
