LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - A Laurel citizen said Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant should not consider drafting a bill for Mississippi from the recent Arizona immigration law Friday.

Hispanic Interpreter Mary Troyer said she is concerned about the idea.

She said if the bill goes into effect it will not only hurt the illegal immigrants but their children as well.

Troyer said no one has reached out to help illegal immigrants become American citizens, but instead people are rushing to push them out of the country.

Troyer said, "My biggest concern is the children. If they start to deporting or start getting them out of work, what are we going to do with all these children. The people are here to work."
