CAMP SHELBY, MS (WDAM) - Soldiers with the 114th Military Police Company are back on American soil.
More than 150 soldiers from the Clinton, MS area started demobilizing at Camp Shelby Training Center on Wednesday evening.
The soldiers were deployed for the last 9 months in Mosul, Iraq. During that time, they were helping train Iraqi Police.
"They did a great job," said Captain Micah Taylor. "Overall, we accomplished the mission. We went over there and did what we set out to do. It was a long deployment. I am not going to say it was easy by any means, but we did it."
The soldiers will leave Camp Shelby at 8 am on Friday.
