Arrest warrant issued for Lamar County shooting

Lamar County, MS (WDAM)-Lamar County authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a Hattiesburg man wanted for questioning in a recent shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.

Sheriff Danny Rigel says 31 year old Omora Harvey Gibson is wanted on aggravated assault charges in connection with the July 14th shooting at an apartment complex off Weathersby road.  26 year old Wayne Kennedy Davis of Hattiesburg was found dead outside the complex and a 24 year old man was found inside one of the apartments with gunshot wounds. Authorities say the current charge against Gibson stems from the wounding but he's also wanted for questioning in Davis's death.

Gibson is described as a black male, 6'1, 250 pounds, and also goes by the name Big Mo. He has brown eyes, black hair and tattoos on both arms. He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you know the whereabouts of Omora Gibson, contact the sheriffs department at 601 794-8610 or crimestoppers at 601 582-stop
