WALTHALL COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Walthall County inmate has escaped again while being returned to Mississippi from an earlier escape.
Dustin Broussard escaped from Walthall County jailers Friday morning during a prisoner exchange with a private company hired to transport him from Arizona.
Broussard, who was behind bars for a probation violation after his third DUI offense and arson convictions, escaped the Tylertown Jail in April while attending his grandmothers funeral.
He was captured in July in Mexico and extradited to Mississippi.
Authorities said Broussard ran from the jailer as the last handcuff was being removed and then fled on foot through an open gate at the jail.
