Laurel police make arrest in auto burglaries

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Laurel police solved a rash of burglaries in the east area of the city Thursday.

Michael Cook, 27, of north 2nd Avenue was arrested and charged with burglarizing several vehicles in the area.

Investigators said they recovered most of the stolen property in Cook's possession.

Cook is in the Jones County Jail awaiting an initial appearance.

He could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
