HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The woman accused of leaving her 9-month-old son in car in a parking lot over the weekend made her first appearance in court Tuesday afternoon. Bobby Joe McSwain, 20, went before a judge who set her bond at $25,000.

McSwain was arrested in the Highway 49 Walmart parking lot after police say she left her son in the car while she went inside the store Sunday.

Another costumer noticed the child, and called police who were able to get the boy out. McSwain was charged with felony child neglect and the boy was turned over to another family member.
