HATTEISBURG, MS (WDAM) - Downtown Hattiesburg is getting ready to gear up for yet another festival; this one, celebrating the red, white and blue.
Coming off of last weekend's Heritage Day, downtown will now play host the second annual Stars & Stripes 4th of July celebration. Last year was the inception of the festival at Town Square Park and with it's success comes another year, which will include a children and pet parade and an expansion of vendors.
"People are excited, people are ready for downtown events, it's almost like they're starving for downtown events," said Stars & Stripes Coordinator Josh Johnson.
The celebration will take place on the Fourth, which is Sunday, from 5 until 9. Headlining the entertainment will be T-Bone Pruitt.
