HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - A summer time musical theatre camp for kids was gearing up Wednesday for their upcoming performance of the play, "Welcome to Bedside Manor."
The Midsummer Musical Theatre Experience takes place each year at Southern Miss. It's a drama camp for kids ages eight to fourteen who love to act, sing and dance.
This year, campers are working on a play that takes place in a fun loving fictional hospital called Bedside Manor. On Friday and Saturday, the kids will perform the play in front of a live audience of family and friends. Ann Morgan Sullivan is one of the play's characters.
Sullivan said, "I got the part of Molly so I'm an undercover policeman. And I've had a lot of fun doing it. I've met a lot of different people and I'll probably come back and do it until I'm too old."
The performances of "Welcome to Bedside Manor" are scheduled for June 25th and 26th at ten AM and noon each day. For more information, call 601-266-6442.
