HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A mainstay the Hattiesburg business community will soon be closing their doors.
Chesterfield's restaurant at Hardy and Highway 49 will close its doors on June 24.
Because of its location, Chesterfields has been a favorite stop not only for locals but travelers between Jackson and the Gulf Coast for nearly 30 years.
Owner Chris Happ has yet to comment, but according to signs out front, Happ hopes to reopen in another location in the future.
We are told no location has been decided upon.
Meanwhile, CVS has purchased the land and plans to build a pharmacy and store.
