HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - Hundreds of Hub City senior citizens learned more about the services in the Pine Belt that cater directly to them on Tuesday.
The city of Hattiesburg's seventeenth annual Senior Fair at the Lake Terrace Convention Center featured a variety of booths specifically for adults age fifty and over.
Representatives from the medical, exercise, safety and financial fields briefed seniors on the kinds of offerings they can benefit from in the greater Hattiesburg area.
Mike Smith manages special programs for the city.
Smith said, "Well we are proud to say that we are a retirement community and a great one here. So we'd like for everyone to see the kind of senior services that we have to offer in the area."
Officials said Senior Fair 2010 attracted a crowd of between three to five hundred Hattiesburg area residents.
