GULF SHORES, Ala. (AP) - Jimmy Buffett is giving a free concert to show that Alabama's coast is still open for business.
Buffett will play a show on July 1 on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Zac Brown Band, Allen Toussaint, Sonny Landreth, Kenny Chesney and Jesse Winchester will also play. CMT will carry the show live.
Buffett says the concert is meant to show support for the people, business and culture of the Gulf Coast amid the BP oil spill. Alabama Governor Bob Riley is so pleased with the idea he's allowing the state tourism department to help with production costs.
